Domain hack
A domain hack uses the TLD as part of a word or phrase, so the whole address spells something: del.icio.us, bit.ly, youtu.be. Most hacks use country codes whose letters happen to fit, like .ly, .io or .me.
Hacks make short, memorable names, but the TLD still belongs to its country, which sets prices and rules — and occasionally content restrictions. Before you build a brand on a hack, read the ccTLD's policy.
